One of the biggest challenges I am facing with the contestants is convincing them that they are capable of finishing their workouts strong. The words "I can't" should not be in anyone's vocabulary and I'm ready for my contestants to forget how to say them. Each exercise is for a set time or a set number of repetitions and I keep telling them that they can do anything for X-amount of time!
Another challenge has been convincing the contestants that preparation is key. Dehydration and poor nutritional consumption have contributed to a few muscle pulls and soreness. But I have adapted workouts to maintain weight-loss for each contestant regardless. I'm convinced they just like to keep me on my toes!

Preparation is definitely key. I was in a rush this morning getting to my spinning class, (my son actually slept in the one day I didn’t want him to, but I guess it’s my fault for using him as an alarm clock) and I only had a small bowl of cereal. It was obvious to me after 15 minutes of spinning I didn’t have the stamina I would have had if I ate a good breakfast. Oh and I wasn’t stretching when I first started working out BIG mistake!
I’m so excited to see the transformations of these contestants. Physically they will look completely different but also they will feel so different. After losing 40lbs (I still have about 20lbs to go) I have a completely new personality. I can’t wait to see their new, confident personalities emerge!

Hello All,
Does not look any of us are any good a this chatting thing. Just wanted to thank Dr. Henry for her time yesturday!! I truly appreciate all the effort everyone at TSW is putting for OUR weight loss. Missed doing the bootcamp yesturday, but I worked out like a fool, once the race was cancelled an came home.
Kaitlyn, my husbands friend knows how you feel know when I start too box, his shoulders are killing him :)

Kaitlyn, you are doing an amazing job transforming the contestants. And I love hearing about their progress. I get excited to see them everytime they walk through the door. Challenges?? There's a thought that I like to keep when I'm thinking of "blowing off" a run. When the weather is terrible or I'm too tired to get out and take a run, I tell myself that if I do it even when I don't want to, then the payoff to my body and mind is that much more significant. When the workout is completed, I feel empowered because I overcame the negative thoughts and replaced them with good ole sweat!
I see the BL contestants becoming EMPOWERED with their accomplishments and that is exciting to me.

Yes, this has been a good experience and there is more to go. Mike inspired me last week when he mentioned the 10 miles he jogged. Made me get up and put out a little extra. Having specific, measurable workout goals are important for me. As Kaitlyn often hears me ask,what's the goal on stairs, etc. My general goal is if I don't break a sweat, I didn't have a good workout. My goal is to drip my way out the door and I'm counting on Kaitlyn to bring it so I do so every time. Let's rock!

Well we are not doing to well chatting here! We shouold chat as much as we do here as we do on Saturday's ciould help us all get through the week and not have to bottle so much in! Hope everyone is having a good week. Sure wish i had Veterans day off. It was even HARDER getting out fo bed this morning to workout with my hubby sleeping in!!!
