It appears that our society at large (Physicians, Politicians, Clergyman, Teachers, etc) seem to avoid addressing the underlying cause of obesity. I watched a few episodes of the Biggest Loser and noticed that most of them share stories of betrayal, loss, hurt, pain, abondonment, etc. These stories become the pervading theme of their life, and until they actually address these unresolved emotional hurts, it will continue to be relived in every aspect of their life.
Emotional Hunger----is a condition whereby one suppresses or desensitizes an emotion with the use of food. Do you think most people need professional help with this issue when confronting the prospect of weight loss due to obesity?
