The importance of the Fit Test

     Our three level Fit Test will help decipher your fitness level when starting a fitness program with Evolution Fitness.  We utilize this test to track strength and endurance gains.  It is recommended that you participate in a Fit Test every 30 days in order to track your physcial development.  Your Fitness Coach will decide which level best suits your current physical capabilities and will progress you through each level as your fitness improves.

What to expect during your Fit Test

     Each level challenges the participant in the same basic exercise with some modifications to add to the exercise's intensity.  Each exercise will be performed in 1 minute increments at which point the amount performed correctly will be recorded. The recovery period will be up to 90 seconds in between each exercise as determined by your fitness coach.  The exercises that will be tested include:

  • Push ups- modified, military, and decline
  • Step ups- 12in, 15in, and 20in steps
  • Squats- with stability ball, standing, and plyo
  • Wall sits- basic and single leg
  • Plank- full plank, low plank, low plank oblique
  • Jacks- standard, power jacks, sumo jacks
  • Sit ups- basic, half pike, full pike
